What does getting it wrong cost you?
Put in your own numbers. See what one suspension, withdrawal or reprint would cost your business — against what it costs to keep the file right for a year.

A quote from us or anyone — your figure
On top of the loss, the FSS Act sets ceilings the adjudicating officer can go up to: ₹5 lakh and 6 months for trading without a valid licence (s.63), ₹3 lakh per misbranded product (s.52), ₹10 lakh for a misleading claim (s.53). These are maximums, not predictions, and are not added into the figure above.

About the calculator
Why doesn’t it add the penalties into the total?
Because they’re ceilings, not bills. Section 49 of the Act tells the adjudicating officer to weigh the gain made, the harm caused and whether it repeats. Any tool that turns a ceiling into a prediction is guessing.
What’s a realistic number of lost days?
It depends on how fast the cause can be fixed. A suspension for an unpaid fee can be cleared quickly; a wrong kind of business, a failed test or a reprint takes longer. Use your own worst recent week as a guide.
