One conflict is worth knowing about. Schedule 1 of the 2011 regulations still lists capacity triggers for Central licensing, and no notification repealing it has been found. Regulation 2.1.2(6) lets FSSAI set eligibility by table, and the 2026 table is turnover-based — so we follow the table and say so on your file.

How long does a State Licence take?
The authority can inspect before granting, so it depends on your state and whether an inspection is ordered. We file as soon as your documents are complete and work every query until grant.
Do I need a water test report?
If water goes into your food or touches it in processing, yes — from an FSSAI-notified or NABL-accredited laboratory. Water testing then continues every six months under FSMS guidance.
Do I need an FSMS plan?
Yes. A Food Safety Management System plan is part of a licence application. We draft it for your kind of business rather than handing you a template.
Can one State Licence cover two premises?
No. A licence covers one premises. A second kitchen or factory is a second application.
