Deemed suspension & revival.
Since 10 March 2026 a licence is deemed suspended — with no notice — if the annual fee isn’t paid or a required return isn’t filed. You may not trade while it lasts.
Know in one call whether your licence is standing — and clear whatever is holding it back.
What’s at stakeWhile a licence is deemed suspended you may not carry on the business (reg. 2.1.7(2)). Trading anyway engages section 63.
Where the rule comes from
Reg. 2.1.7(2), as substituted 10.03.2026
Reg. 2.1.13 — annual returns
We quote the regulation behind every requirement. Where FSSAI hasn’t specified something, we tell you it’s our reading, not the law.

Who does what, in order.
Most of the work is ours. Where something needs you, it says so.
After it’s done
- Annual fee date and return deadlines diarised
- Option to move the file to Compliance Care
- WeCheck standing
We read your FoSCoS record — when the fee was last paid, which returns were filed, whether the licence expired before 10 March 2026.
- WeTell you where you stand
A one-page report in plain language, with the regulation behind each finding.
- YouApprove and pay
You approve the plan and pay any government fee directly on FoSCoS.
- WeClear and confirm
Returns filed, fees recorded, standing confirmed — and the next dates set.
The mistakes we see most.
Deemed suspension needs no notice. Most businesses find out when a buyer, platform or inspector asks.
If a return is due, a nil return is still a return.
The amendment has no transitional clause. A licence that had already lapsed isn’t revived by it.
Our promises, in writing
You get the fee before we start. If the scope changes, you hear it from us before it costs you.
We file on your own FoSCoS account with your approval. Nothing to hand back if you ever leave.
Straight to FSSAI on FoSCoS. It never passes through us.
Each requirement comes with the regulation behind it — and our readings are marked as ours.
Common questions
Will I get a notice before suspension?
No. Deemed suspension operates by the regulation itself. That is why the dates matter more than they used to.
Is there a late fee?
The old ₹100-a-day renewal late fee has no trigger any more. The new text refers to overdue fees “plus applicable penalties” but no amount has been published.
Can you check my standing without my login?
We need to see your FoSCoS record, so you share access or sit with us while we check. Your login stays yours.
