Most consultants file forms. We read the regulations.
FoodRaksha does one thing: food regulation. One Act, one portal, one set of rules — licensing, labels, testing, training, notices, and everything that comes after the certificate.
Everyone else does food on the side.
Search “FSSAI licence” and every result registers companies, trademarks and GST too. Here is what that difference actually changes — including the row where doing it yourself wins.

Comparison of service models, not of named companies. A ₹100 Registration for a shop that knows its kind of business is a job you can do yourself on FoSCoS — our guide walks you through it.
Eight differences you’ll notice in the first week.
One Act, not forty services
We file under the Food Safety and Standards Act and nothing else — no GST, no trademarks, no incorporation. The person who answers your call has read the kind-of-business table you’re being classified under.
32 services, every one of them food regulation
Regulatory experience from the government’s side
The practice is led by a food-regulatory specialist with government-side experience of how this law is administered — a different skill from knowing which form to upload.
Who works on your file
We built our own Regulatory OS
Our software holds every premises, date, label and rule in your file. No filing portal in India shows you a product, because none of them has one.
200+ regulations, gazettes and orders indexed
Label audits that are run, not eyeballed
Artwork goes through an engine that reads the pack and checks the arithmetic — energy against 4-4-9, parts against wholes, %RDA against reference values — then lists every mandatory element against the rules. Before the print run.
Fixed fee per SKU · findings cite the regulation
Both fees on the page, and the licence stays yours
The government fee and our fee are published separately on every page. You pay FSSAI directly, and everything is filed on your own FoSCoS login — so if you ever leave, you keep the licence, the login and the file.
Nothing is quoted “on request”
Built for after the certificate
Since March 2026 licences don’t expire — they get suspended, quietly, for a missed return or annual fee. Registration portals stop at the certificate. We start there.
30 dated obligations tracked per file
Testing and training, coordinated — not resold
Water and product testing through NABL-accredited, FSSAI-notified laboratories. FoSTaC training through FSSAI-empanelled partners — they certify, we schedule and keep the records at the 1-in-25 ratio the rules require.
We never issue a certificate we aren’t entitled to issue
When a notice arrives, we answer it
Show-cause replies, adjudication support, and a penalty view that prices what has been found against the ceilings the Act sets — never a scare number.
Chapter IX, section by section
Depth you can count.
Not client counts or star ratings — the regulatory content we have encoded, tested and use on every file.
FSSAI regulations, gazettes, orders and notices read and indexed
kinds of business mapped to the 2026 eligibility table
standardised products, with 2,084 compositional parameters
additive-permission rows resolved from Appendix A
nutraceutical ingredient records with their limits
dated obligations in the register behind your calendar
Counted from our own corpus and software. We publish no client numbers we cannot evidence.
Four steps, and you know the cost at step one.

Your account, alwaysKept licensed
Fees, returns, tests, medicals, labels and inspections — dated, tracked and handled in FoodRaksha OS, with a short status note each month.
Compliance CareWhat getting it wrong costs
These are the maximums the Food Safety and Standards Act sets — not estimates. The adjudicating officer weighs the gain made, the harm caused and whether it repeats (section 49).
Running a food business without a licence — up to 6 months in prison and a fine up to ₹5 lakh.
Court punishmentMisbranded food — a label that doesn't meet the rules — up to ₹3 lakh.
Adjudicated penaltyMisleading advertisement or claim — up to ₹10 lakh.
Adjudicated penaltyWorth it for you if…
- You manufacture, pack or repack — where the tier, the label and the additives all have to be right
- You print labels or make claims on the front of a pack
- You import or export, and a consignment is waiting at a port
- You run several outlets, a cloud kitchen or a marketplace listing
- You’re holding a notice, or your licence is already at risk
Don’t pay us for this.
If you need a single ₹100 Registration for a shop or a home kitchen and you know your kind of business, file it yourself on FoSCoS — it takes about twenty minutes. Our guide walks through every screen, and we make nothing from it.
Where we do earn our fee: the tier, the label, and everything after the certificate.
What we promise, in writing
You get the fee before we start. If the scope changes, you hear it from us before it costs you.
We file on your own FoSCoS account with your approval. Nothing to hand back if you ever leave.
Straight to FSSAI on FoSCoS. It never passes through us.
Each requirement comes with the regulation behind it — and our readings are marked as ours.
Questions people ask before they hire us
Are you part of FSSAI?
No. FoodRaksha is an independent consultancy. FSSAI’s only licensing portal is foscos.fssai.gov.in, government fees are paid there by you, and we are not endorsed by or affiliated with FSSAI.
Why are you more expensive than a ₹999 portal?
Because the ₹999 buys a form-filling service that ends at the certificate. Our fee covers the tier being decided correctly against the 2026 table, the documents checked before filing, and — if you take Compliance Care — every date and obligation after the grant. If all you need is a Registration you can file yourself, we’ll tell you so.
Do you handle GST, trademarks or company registration?
No, and that is deliberate. We work under one Act. If you need those, we’ll happily point you to someone who does them properly.
What if my licence is already suspended?
Start with the licence health check, then book a call. Deemed suspension usually follows a missed annual return or fee, and revival means clearing what’s owed and filing a request — we do that work regularly.
Who owns the login and the licence?
You do. Everything is filed on your own FoSCoS account with your own credentials. If you stop working with us, nothing has to be transferred.
Do you work outside Maharashtra?
Yes. Licensing is administered state by state, and our filings, documents and calendars are built per state — tell us the city and we’ll confirm the authority handling it.
Ten minutes now, or a notice later.
Tell us what you make and where. We’ll confirm the licence you need, both fees, and the three things most businesses in your category miss.
- Government fee paid by you, directly to FSSAI
- Filed under your own FoSCoS login
- Fixed fee, confirmed in writing before we start
